Rashmi Sunrise : 30 Minutes Yoga + 10 Minutes Meditation

Private or Semi-Private Yoga Session
Appointment
Yoga was never meant to be a fitness trend, a competition, or a beauty pageant. Born in the profound stillness of the Himalayas, yoga is, at its core, a path through the mind's incessant chatter and distractions, to a state of blissful peace and self-realization. As an ancient, living & breathing science of The Mind, yoga āsana and physical practices were given primacy only much later, in modern times. The Eight Limbs of Yoga illuminate a way of moving through life with presence and awareness... full of light, love, wisdom and grace.
Rashmi Yoga is an offering to capture and share the essence of this sacred path, through movement, breath, meditation and peaceful presence. At times the practice is vigorous, strengthening, and extending. And the practice is also to grow quiet... quiet enough to hear the voice of the soul begin to sing.
Weekday mornings host a Rashmi Sunrise Session — 30 minutes yoga + 10 bonus minutes of meditation — an affordable, accessible, addictive reminder for self-care, clarity and radiant expansion.

Why are your Rashmi Yoga classes only $5?
I want this class to be broadly affordable, accessible, and empowering. And I want this practice to become the best part of your day.
I know that some of my other services are more expensive, niched, and/or may not be within reach for some people on a regular basis. So this is my high-quality heart-offering that I hope you can join me for... daily, or regularly, or whenever you can make it. The time, cost and commitment are all small here. But over time, big transformations happen! Try it out, share the event with your friends, and let's build together a community of light.
What kind of yoga do you teach?
I teach Yoga with a focus on healing the energetic pathways between the body, mind and spirit. No fancy branding, no goat yoga, no beer yoga, no hot yoga, no trends. Mantra, meditation and sound vibration are all big components of my teaching toolkit. I've completed 300-hour trainings in kundalini yoga; Ayurveda-informed hatha yoga; and traditional prānayāma techniques for specialized healing purposes. I take great inspiration from the traditional Himalayan and Nepali forms of yoga, emphasizing connection to the breath and abundance of energy within each of us waiting to be tapped.
What if I've never practiced yoga before, or if I have challenges with physical movement? Will I be able to keep up?
If you can breathe, you can do yoga! Yoga was never meant to be an athletic exercise -- for thousands of years, and still in India, yoga is taught as a sacred pathway to self-realization -- not as a way to get ripped, skinny and hot. In Rashmi yoga classes, your movements will be led by your own breath, pace and inner awareness (which we work on cultivating in class!). Any level practitioner can dial the practice up or down, from the comfort of your own home. From the online studio, I'll give you guidance, cues and modifications for varying levels, but there's no manual adjustment. You're fully in control of your experience, and always encouraged to make this sacred practice your own.
Do I need any special equipment? What should I wear?
Just a mat, cushion and/or folded up blanket. Much of what we practice can be modified as "Chair Yoga", so if that sounds more appealing than sitting on the floor, then please have a chair handy! If you have and enjoy using yoga props (yoga strap, blocks, bolster, etc) at home, you may find them useful for this practice; but they're not necessary.
Mantra, music, vibrational sound bath, silence... A - U - M.
